THE DUTCH FORT

A fort in Pangkor Island, Manjung District, Perak, Malaysia. The ruins are the remnants of an outpost of Dutch attempts to control trade in the Malay peninsula. In the Malay language, the fort is called Kota Belanda.

BATU BERSURAT

Pangkor Island is a large rock at Kampung Teluk Gedung inscribed with graffiti made by Dutch soldiers in the 1700's. These soldiers were based in the Dutch Fort just 100 metres away during the years 1743-1748 and the date 1743 is carved on the rock five times.

MASJID AL-BADR SERIBU SELAWAT

Built at a cost of RM11.7 million, it took slightly over 2.5  years to complete, with a size of 1708.8 sq. metres, that can accommodate 1,500 worshippers concurrently. The massive project finally wrapped up in October 2016 and officiated by HRH Sultan Perak Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah (35th Sultan of Perak) on 8th June, 2017.

PANGKOR ISLAND

An island in Manjung District, Perak, Malaysia. It has a population of approximately 25,000. Nearby islands include Pangkor Laut Island, Giam Island, Mentagor Island, Simpan Island, and Tukun Terindak Island. The major industries of the island are tourism and fishing.
